Primary duties include developing exhibition proposals, overseeing budgets of over $300,000, supervising curatorial staff, coordinating curatorial efforts with internal departments and outside vendors, sourcing and acquiring artifacts for exhibition, writing exhibition text and citations, art directing and designing exhibition graphics and layouts, assisting in installation, coordinating filmed oral histories and interviewing subjects, interacting with donors and lendors, performing museum tours, and representing the museums to the public.

  • Sound & Vision: Artists Tell Their Stories, January 2007. An exhibition about EMP's Oral History Program, featuring hours of interview footage. Organized with Jasen Emmons.
  • The Music behind the Magic, November 2006. Art director (organized by Jasen Emmons). An exhibition on Disney’s influence on popular music.

  • SETI: Fiction and Fact, September 2005. Exhibition explaining the scientific and not-so-scientific aspects in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. Organized with Brooks Peck.
  • The War of the Worlds, October 2004. An exploration of the impact of H.G. Wells’ classic novel over the past century. Organized with Therese Littleton.
  • Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame exhibitions, June 2004. Lead curator for a team of 5 to organize over 20 exhibitions for the museum grand opening.
  • Paper, Scissors ROCK: 25 Years of Northwest Punk Poster Design, May 2003. A re-conception of an earlier independently produced exhibition on punk posters.
  • Jimi Hendrix, August 2003. An exhibition about the life of Jimi Hendrix. Organized with Jim Fricke.
  • Artist to Icon: Early Photographs of Elvis, Dylan, and the Beatles, June 2001. A group photography exhibition of rare and powerful images of three of rock’s greatest acts. Organized with Chris Bruce and Barbara Arnett. Traveled to more than fifteen venues throughout the United States and Europe (2001-present.)
  • IF XI WAS IX: Roots and Branches, June 2000. Project manager. A kinetic musical sculpture designed by Seattle artist Trimpin, comprised of over 700 instruments.
